Cisco verfolgt mit dem Programm das Ziel, gemeinsamen Kunden Lösungen anzubieten, die auf ihre Interoperabilität hin geprüft wurden (1). Mit Open Text Fax Server in den erfolgreich nach den Cisco-Kriterien getesteten Versionen 9.3 und 9.4 können Kunden eine Vielzahl an Unternehmensanwendungen, die mit Cisco kompatibel sind und Funktionalitäten, Leistung und Management ihrer Cisco-Netzwerke verbessern können, in kürzerer Zeit implementieren.
Im Februar 2009 hat Open Text eine aktualisierte Version von Open Text Fax Server vorgestellt, der marktführenden Lösung des Unternehmens für den elektronischen Versand von Faxen und Dokumenten. Die darin enthaltenen neuen Funktionalitäten helfen Kunden dabei, Installations- und laufende Wartungskosten zu senken. Vor der Übernahme von Captaris durch Open Text im vergangenen Jahr wurde Open Text Fax Server unter dem Namen RightFax vermarktet.
Die Fax-Server-Produkte von Open Text liefern eine leistungsfähige Plattform, mit der Kunden innerhalb von Sekunden Hunderte oder gar Tausende von Aufträgen, Empfangsbestätigungen oder Rechnungen im Rahmen von Transaktionen automatisch aus SAP oder Oracle heraus faxen können. Einige Großkunden von Open Text nutzen die Lösung für den Faxversand von über 100.000 Dokumenten pro Monat.
