Omnis Software is delighted to announce a brand-new online training offering that will allow application developers and programmers to learn how to create JavaScript web and mobile apps with Omnis Studio, completely free of charge and entirely from their home office.

Learn something new from the home office, take advantage of the lockdown period in the Covid 19 pandemic, and develop new digital solutions and apps - the new free online training offer from Omnis Software is intended to help with all of this. The new online training consists of 6 non-sequential online courses, each lasting about 100 minutes, so developers can choose which courses interest them or are required for a new app development project. In these courses, participants learn how to use the Omnis JavaScript Client technology, to create a business application for mobile devices and the web, including database connectivity and UI design.

The online lessons cover a whole range of topics including:
  • "Omnis Studio Basics in developing web and mobile apps with Omnis Studio"
    for developers who are new to Omnis Studio;
  • database connectivity;
  • implementing REST services (as client and/or server);
  • developing a messenger app with push technology; or
  • creating standalone (serverless) mobile apps that run without a connection and can be synchronized later.
A complete overview of all the online courses, as well as the schedule and registration form, are available at

The free Online Training is a brand-new option within the existing Omnis Academy, which is also free of charge and includes both training videos and 3-day classroom training. The latter cannot take place at present due to Coronavirus restrictions. The online training courses are aimed at developers with basic programming skills, who wish to learn new skills and technology, and are offered in English (in different time zones), German and Spanish.

"Many companies we work with complain about a great shortage of Omnis developers and find it difficult and lengthy to fill vacancies, so we established the 'Omnis Academy' to fast track the learning process for developers – we are delighted to add this comprehensive online training program, and provide free of charge" explains Birgit Jäger, Director Global Sales & Marketing of Omnis Software. "The Covid 19 pandemic shows how urgently companies and public authorities need to push ahead with digitization and how much we need smart apps. The power and speed of development of web and mobile apps in Omnis Studio makes it the right tool for today's needs. That's why we are convinced that the new Omnis Online Training will attract a lot of interest and help many developers to efficiently use their time in the home office, learn something new and quickly realize a new app project successfully".
