NovaStor combines an Enhanced Feature set and Refined Ease-of-use in the new NovaNet-WEB 7.0 Online Backup Solution
ISPs and their customers profit from an easier GUI and faster backups
Online backup is fast becoming the preferred method of backup as the data is securely protected off-site and impervious to the failures that commonly affect local client data storage devices. The new NovaNet-WEB version 7.0 incorporates a refined storage algorithm that improves the overall backup performance by up to 20% over version 6.8. As a result, ISPs can use existing hardware for greater numbers of users and users enjoy faster backups. Bandwidth Throttling Support allows ISPs to better control bandwidth usage benefiting the stability of all services provided. Remote client configuration allows administrators to remotely control client backup settings. Integrated user authentication database eliminates cumbersome external authentication (Active Directory, LDAP, etc) or require purchase of Microsoft Client Access Licenses (CAL’s) saving ISPs money. NovaNet-WEB 7.0 employs advanced data protection protocols ensuring data is secured during backup and restore operations. All data is compressed and encrypted before transmission over the Internet/Intranet to the backup server.
NovaNet-WEB 7.0 features a newly refined user interface making it easier than ever to use. Smart Select technology allows automatic file selection for quick and easy backup of emails, digital photos, digital music, and the Windows® My Documents folder. Automatic and easy-to-use processes are user-friendly allowing even non-IT specialists to create automated recurring data backups with just a few clicks.
NovaNet-WEB 7.0 is offered as NovaNet-WEB Standard and NovaNet-WEB Advanced. NovaNet-WEB Advanced includes SQL and Microsoft Exchange support built in. Thus, NovaNet-WEB Advanced offers an out-of-the-box-solution tailored for online backup service providers.
“NovaNet-WEB 7.0 represents a large step forward in online backup,” said Mike Andrews, Executive VP of Worldwide Sales at NovaStor. “With the big increase in backup throughput and other refinements in the new 7.0 version, online backup is quickly becoming a viable strategy for more businesses, and represents expanded opportunities for our partners.” Andrews added.
Enhanced Partner Opportunities
NovaNet-WEB 7.0 is ideally suited for partners desiring to create their own Online Backup Service to offer to their customers. The NovaNet-WEB 7.0 user interface, start screens and help files can be easily re-branded for partner companies to add their own look and feel. This creates unique brand image and saves marketing costs for service providers. Flexible licensing options provide easy scalability as business demands grow.
