Rise, a partner of data protection specialist NovaStor, has been awarded the Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Awards. Rise has been selected from more than 3,000 nominations. The Microsoft Partner Awards recognise companies that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.

Rise Recognised for its Cloud Services
Rises’ state-of-the-art DataCenter on Demand (DCoD) service was recognised for providing outstanding virtualised solutions and service. As a strategic Microsoft partner, Rise utilises Microsoft’s latest technology to offer key hosted IT and cloud services. The company’s services ranging from virtual servers to secure online storage and data back-up are all examples of why it was chosen for this award. In recent months, Rise also won the Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Partner Award in 2011.

NovaStor Powers Rises’ Data Backup Service
Among Rises’ excellent services is an online backup service managed and operated with NovaStor’s public cloud backup platform, NovaBACKUP xSP. NovaStor is a Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor Partner and ensures that Rises’ data back-up service supports the latest Microsoft technologies.

NovaStor’s software enables Rise to provide a safe online backup service for worldwide data availability. NovaBACKUP xSP encrypts customer data before transmission and only decrypts the data when users restore the data. NovaStor’s technology for extremely fast data transfers via the Internet, as well as its easy-to-navigate user interface and wide range of functions further support the quality of Rises’ data back-up service.

Andy Burton, CEO of Rises Internet, said: “Rises’ alliance with Microsoft is a fundamental part of our offering to the UK market for delivering hosted IT services and a key aspect of our future growth. This award is a testament to that relationship, and we are thrilled to be officially recognised on the global stage as Microsoft’s Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year. This award demonstrates our commitment to our customers by offering them the most flexible, affordable and manageable solutions possible, and we are delighted to reinforce that through this acknowledgment.”

“We congratulate Rise for its recognition as Microsoft Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year. We are proud that one of our cloud backup software products has contributed to Rises’ success by enabling the provision of an excellent online backup service that allows Rises’ customers to leverage the latest Microsoft technologies and to also protect it reliably with Rises’ data back-up service,” comments Stefan Utzinger, CEO at NovaStor.
