“Easy to use and highly capable,” these comments sum up the results NovaBACKUP 10 received in a recent review by PC World. The test analyzed five leading new data backup applications and included newly released NovaBACKUP 10 by NovaStor (www.novastor.com). According to NovaStor, NovaBACKUP 10 offers users access to one of the first comprehensive data protection programs for professional data availability that includes local and online backup as well as disk imaging. PC World was especially impressed by the program’s friendly user interface.
PC World author Jon L. Jacobi’s article “Save Your Data with One of These Top Backup Programs” (published July 23, 2008) focuses on the improvements new data backup programs offer and emphasizes the growing importance of online backup. PC World therefore looked at the online backup functionality provided by NovaBACKUP 10 versus that included in EMC Retrospect and concludes that “NovaStor does a much better job at this than EMC.”
NovaStor was particularly pleased by the high marks PC World assigned to NovaBACKUP 10’s user interface, layout and workflow and the seamless integration of online data backup. Jacobi states: “NovaBACKUP’s layout and workflow are immaculate – a rarity among the comprehensive backup applications that NovaBACKUP competes against.” In summary, PC World describes the application as “easy to use and highly capable” with a price that undercuts “much of the competition by more than half.”
“PC World’s very positive review of NovaBACKUP 10 is of great importance to us as this magazine looks at products from the point of view of our target audience, namely users who are looking for professional data protection for individual computers or servers, be it at home or for their company,” says Mike Andrews, Managing Director at NovaStor.
NovaBACKUP 10 is available for 49,95 Euro. A 15-day free trial can be downloaded at www.novastor.com. The full article “Save Your Data with One of These Top Backup Programs” can be viewed at www.pcworld.com.
