Nokia today announced that Juha Äkräs has been appointed Executive Vice President of Human Resources. The nomination comes into effect as of April 1, 2010. At the same time, he will become a member of the Group Executive Board. Äkräs is currently Senior Vice President, coheading Human Resources with Hallstein Moerk, the current Executive Vice President of Human Resources.
Hallstein Moerk will start transition to retirement and he steps down from his current position as head of HR at the end of March, 2010, after eleven years heading Human Resources at Nokia.
