This year’s CIO Day, a true platform for networking, expert talks and the latest IT developments, once again attracted hundreds of IT experts. One of the highlights of the event held on November 13th in Noordwijkerhout near NH Leeuwenhorst, Netherlands, was the CIO Employee of the Year Award.
The CIO Day 2007, which was organised by the CIO Magazine, is the annual top event for the IT sector. Renowned speakers and IT experts who are strategic IT decision-makers in their companies provided unique insights into the latest technology trends and management approaches. The event featured eight concurrent talks, which provided the opportunity to discuss, for example, the next stage of IT "security" and "identification" or the "impact of information technology on innovations, business development and strategic scenarios". NIIT Technologies, one of the sponsors who made this event happen, was also present at the CIO Day. This year marked the first time the sponsors were given the opportunity to run expert sessions.
The festivities, which were themed IT2Power, also comprised the CIO of the Year 2007 Award. A panel of judges under the chairmanship of Peter Haagedorn, chief editor of the CIO Magazine and organiser of the CIO Day, selected an ICT expert.
A VIP dinner took place the night before the CIO Day. A personal invitation was required to participate in the dinner.
