nextLAP introduces new mini button for digitised order-picking processes

Greater scope and flexibility for small parts picking operations

(PresseBox) (Munich, )
nextLAP GmbH (www.nextlap.de), specialist in IoT-based solutions for the digital management and automation of production and logistics processes, has added a mini button to its portfolio. Like the standard button, it can be used for order picking and supports digitised order-picking processes. The mini button’s smaller size opens up additional areas of application and makes it ideal for small parts that are supplied in storage bins, for example.

nextLAP develops IoT-based production and logistics solutions for its “Smart Shelf” product family, allowing users to easily and independently digitise their processes (such as order-picking processes). The big data obtained from the digitised process is used to generate improvement proposals and alternative actions based on algorithms and artificial intelligence.

For example, nextLAP offers IoT devices that simplify order-picking processes. In the existing solution, the pick or put is shown on a large LED display and confirmed at the touch of a button by the logistics or production employee.

Mini button makes picking small parts more efficient

To offer operators greater scope when picking small parts, nextLAP has developed a new mini button that makes picking processes even more flexible. The button measures 6.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm (L x W x H) and has all the same functions as the standard button.

“The mini button is wired using a standard CAT cable. Like its big brother, it is connected to the IoT controller and can be used in combination with the standard button. Its smaller size opens up new areas of application and offers a great solution for picking scenarios involving small or narrow parts, such as trims, for example”, explains André Ziemke, Managing Director of nextLAP GmbH.

With its solutions nextLAP helps companies to digitise their order-picking processes quickly, easily and independently. The software and hardware are available to lease.
