Netresearch bundles its e-commerce range within the Netresearch App Factory AG

The business line eCommerce of Netresearch has shown strong growth and, with activities in Europe and most recently also in Latin America, is becoming increasingly international. In the light of this dynamic development its inclusion in the Netresearch App Factory AG is a natural consequence. In order to effectively realize the development opportunities emerging from this, an Aktiengesellschaft (stock company) was incorporated, and internationally experienced manager Thomas Goletz was gained as shareholder and executive.

The "S-Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft der Sparkasse Leipzig GmbH (S-Beteiligungen)" and the "Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Sachsen mbH (MBG)" are also convinced of the growth potential and are partaking of the opportunity to participate in the further development of the company as investors. "By cooperating with S-Beteiligungen and the MBG we have deliberately decided in favor of regional partners, as we perceive here a special engagement and enthusiasm for our business concept and its further development within the region", chairman Thomas Goletz points out. Reik Hesselbarth, managing director of S-Beteiligungen, adds: "In Netresearch App Factory we have an investment with strong local cross-linking in connection with international experience as well as international ambitions."

With this round of funding, development for the next years has been secured, and the foundation for internationalization has been laid. These funds will primarily be used for the development of the App Factory line of business. "This includes, besides the market development proper, the establishment of a line of support, the design of automatic testing procedures for extensions, and obtaining further development partners for extensions", says Michael Ablass, who will continue to lead technical development as executive.

"We are convinced that customized solutions are necessary for success within e-commerce" says third executive Thomas Fleck. "As in the automotive industry a strategy will succeed that customizes standard platforms like Magento, hybris or oxid by extensions to meet the particular demands of the customers."
