MTM Power GmbH, der Spezialist für individuelle Stromversorgungen, hat mit der Serie SMM50 einen DC/DC-Wandler für den Einsatz in Fahrzeugen, speziell im Bahnbereich, konzipiert. Wandler weisen eine Leistung von 50 Watt auf und eignen sich sowohl für den stationären als auch mobilen Einsatz nach EN 50 155. Die nominalen Eingangsspannungen betragen 24 VDC (14,4...50,4 VDC), 48 VDC (28,8...100,8 VDC) und 110 VDC (43,2...154 VDC) sowie 230 VAC (85...264 VAC). Aufgrund dieser Eingangsspannungsbereiche können alle gängigen Bordnetzbereiche realisiert werden. Die Serie SMM50 hat galvanisch getrennte Ausgangsspannungen in Single, Dual und Triple Versionen. Weitere entscheidende Features sind ihre Rüttel- und Schockfestigkeit nach IEC 68 T.2-27, ein hoher Wirkungsgrad von 79...89 % sowie Verpolschutz am Eingang. Die Geräte sind für den Einsatz in 19"-Baugruppen vorbereitet und haben die Abmessungen (Länge x Breite x Höhe) von 173,0 x 38,7 x 111,2 mm (Tubusfrontplatte) bzw. 177,0 x 40,2 x 128,4 mm (Europac). Ihr Anschluss erfolgt über eine H11-Steckerleiste gemäß DIN 41 612. Die Serie SMM50 ist leerlauf- und kurzschlussfest und verfügt über umfangreiche Überwachungs- und Schutzeinrichtungen.
