Twelve new 16bit All Flash(TM) microcontrollers with onchip USB 2.0 controller from NEC Electronics now broaden Gleichmann Electronics' product offering. The new MCUs feature a power consumption of just 0.37 µA in stop mode and 6.4 mA at 20 MHz operating frequency.

MCUs of the USB 78K0R/Kx3-L series are available with up to 128 KB flash and are provided in spacesaving 48pin or 64pin TQFP packages (7 mm × 7 mm × 1.0 mm). Furthermore, even smaller versions - in 64pin BGA or 48pin QFN packages - are available if needed.

In addition to USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) certified MCUs, NEC Electronics offers USB 2.0 drivers for a wide range of tasks. Starter kits with USB evaluation boards, complete development environments and sample software are scheduled to be available during the first quarter of 2010 from Gleichmann Electronics.
