MSC Technologies presents industrial 15.6 inch (39.6 cm) TFT displays from Sharp

MSC Technologies, a business group of Avnet Electronics Marketing EMEA, a business region of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), is presenting the LQ156M3LW01, a high-resolution TFT display from Sharp, at embedded world 2015 in Hall 2, Booth 2-240. The LQ156M3LW01 has a fairly uncommon form factor of 15.6-inch (39.6 cm).

The industrial display provides Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with 16:9 aspect ratio. The integrated multi-domain vertical alignment (MVA) technology, which Sharp calls vertical alignment (VA) technology, ensures 85-degree typical very wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles, and high contrast. The contrast ratio is 1500:1. High brightness of 400 cd/m² and LED backlighting with 70,000 hours half-brightness lifetime ensure excellent performance. The 30 pin LVDS data interface supports a color palette of up to 16 million colors. The NTSC ratio is 76%.

The LQ156M3LW01 professional display is offered in a compact mechanical housing with dimensions of 363.8 mm (W) x 215.9 mm (H) x 12.0 mm (D). The active area is 344.2 mm x 193.6 mm. The display surface is equipped with antiglare film and a hard coating. Optionally, a touchscreen can be assembled.

The operating temperature range is from -20 °C to +75 °C. Typical applications for the industrially-suited TFT display are multimedia systems, for example, system control and monitoring (security) or in medical technology (cardiology).
