MSC Technologies presents 38 inch stretched public information displays from AUO
The outline dimensions of the "bar-type" display are 958.45 mm x 304.85 mm. The active area is specified as 930.25 mm x 276.54 mm, which corresponds to a 16:4.7 ratio. The panel is 28.4 mm thick and offers an ultra-wide viewing angle of more than 98 degrees from all sides. An 8-bit or 12-bit 2-channel LVDS interface with a display voltage of 12 V is optionally available. The brightness of 700 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 ensure an easy readability even under difficult light conditions. The panel also integrates a LED backlight with built-in driver and can be operated in both portrait and landscapes modes.
Until now, stretched displays were used primarily in gaming applications. In the meantime, they are being used more and more in many areas of daily life where it must be possible to frequently modify the information displayed. Examples of this are trains, trams, buses and stations providing passengers with information. The displays are also suited as direction signs or information signs, for example, for visitors of an event. The small information panels can be installed either vertically or horizontally.
