Gleichmann Electronics now also offers 850 nm and 940 nm high-speed IR LEDs from Harvatek

16 different SMD and through-hole versions available

(PresseBox) (Frankenthal, )
The HT-XXXIRP series and the HE1-XXXAC series of high-speed infrared (IR) LEDs from Harvatek, which feature high levels of radiant power and intensity, now broaden the LED product range of Gleichmann Electronics.

The HT-XXXIRP series consists of eight surface mount (SMD) IR LEDs, which are optionally available in top-mount, reverse-mount and side-mount configurations. The LEDs are available in popular industry standard 0603, 0805, 1206, PLCC and TO220 package types and can be easily assembled onto printed circuit boards using standard automatic placement equipment. They are ideally suited for applications such as level detection and presence detection, where space savings or a wider angle of intensity is important.

The eight through-hole IR LEDs of the HE1-XXXAC series, available in both 3 mm and 5 mm lenses, in both round dome or flat top configurations, feature a wide range of emission angles (at half power) ranging from 20 degrees to 100 degrees. The components were designed for night vision and card reader devices, particle detection and optical counter systems, where maximum radiation power and intensity are important.

Both the through-hole and the SMD IR LEDs are optionally available in both 850 nm and 940 nm peak wavelengths. The 850 nm versions additionally feature a response behavior of less than 20 ns, allowing them to be used in industrial light-barriers and optical data transmission devices.

A further feature of the high-speed IR LEDs from Harvatek is the typical forward voltage of 1.5V, thus making the HT-XXXIRP and HE1-XXXAC series ideal for use in battery operated applications.

All of Harvatek’s products meet or exceed the requirements of the IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020B and the European Union’s Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives.

MSC Technologies GmbH

Founded in 1979, Gleichmann & Co. Electronics GmbH, in the same company group with MSC Vertriebs GmbH, has established itself as one of the leading pan-European distributors of electronic assemblies and components. One of the reasons for the high acceptance by customers and suppliers is the company’s early focus on comparatively few, highly sophisticated products such as microcontrollers, programmable logic devices, displays and customer specific power supplies. From this, the resulting in-depth technical know-how of our sales engineers and field application engineers today enables us, if required by the customer, even implementation of complete new designs right up to the finished product. With two of its own ASIC design centers, the Gleichmann Electronics Research laboratory and one of the largest and most modern programming centers in Europe, Gleichmann & Co Electronics takes a leading role in terms of service and customer support.
