Almost 30 of the available LCDs are offered with RGB backlight, mostly in all popular technologies. All other modules are offered with monocolor LED backlight. Meanwhile, by making use of the latest LEDs, the lifespan - as with TFT displays - is up to 50000 hours. At the same time, for most of the current standard LCD modules offered by GE Vision, the size of the backlight housing could be reduced further because the better radiation angle of modern LEDs enables an optimal uniformity of the backlighting, also with low light scattering path.
Furthermore, due to strong demand, GE Vision has once again expanded its range of chiponglass (COG) modules. The elimination of board and bezel as well as the mechanically compact construction make this type of display module ideally suited for all projects with extreme cost pressure and space problems. A current highlight is the 4.2inch COG module GE-O240128Z-TFH-R. This module is particularly easy to read thanks to a contrast ratio of 10:1 and a resolution of 240 x 128 pixels. With this, GE Vision complements its GE-Oxxxx series, which is available in seven sizes from 45.2 x 27 mm to 160 x 109 mm. The now available COG modules with resolutions from 128 x 64 pixels to 320 x 240 pixels as well as 2 x 16 characters are optionally available as FSTN positive, STN positive or STN negative versions.
All of the LCD modules presented in the new GE Vision catalog are specified for the extended temperature range of -20°C to +70°C for the industrial market. In addition, many models can also be provided as standard product with analog resistive touchscreen.
GE Vision offers numerous customerspecific modifications for its LCD modules starting from a minimum order quantity of 1000 pieces. These modifications include PCB layout changes, mounting of pin rows according to customer's specification, special cable solutions or also PCB extensions with regard to size and format as well as mounting additional components such as switches LED or electronic components.
