5.7-inch TFT industrial displays usable from -30°C to +85°C

G057VN01/G057QN01 from AU Optronics - available immediately in production quantities

(PresseBox) (Stutensee (Germany), )
The two new 5.7-inch TFT displays, G057VN01 and G057QN01, from AU Optronics distributed by Gleichmann Electronics each feature a wide operating temperature range from -30°C to +85°C and low power consumption of just marginally more than 2 W.

Both the model G057VN01 with 640 x 480 pixels (VGA resolution) and the G057QN01 with 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA resolution) are provided with a LED backlight, which also at low temperatures still guarantees an optimal light yield.

A brightness of 400cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 600:1, together with wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 140° and 120°, ensure good readability also under highly variable light conditions.

Furthermore, a "reverse scan" circuit enables a 180° rotated image representation. Thereby, gray level inversions, which commonly occur with TN technology when the screen is viewed at a certain angle, can be avoided.

The G057VN01 and G057QN01 operate with 3.3 V supply voltage and have a response time of 35 ms. Due to their technical characteristics, both of the 5.7-inch TFT displays are ideally suited for use in vending machines, point-of-sale systems, ships, etc.

Especially noteworthy is the guaranteed availability of minimum 3 years, which also guarantees a long-term project supply. Data sheets, samples and production quantities of the displays are immediately available from Gleichmann Electronics.

MSC Technologies GmbH

Founded in 1979, Gleichmann & Co. Electronics GmbH, in the same company group with MSC Vertriebs GmbH, has established itself as one of the leading pan-European distributors of electronic assemblies and components. One of the reasons for the high acceptance by customers and suppliers is the company's early focus on comparatively few, highly sophisticated products such as microcontrollers, programmable logic devices, displays and customer specific power supplies. From this, the resulting in-depth technical know-how of our sales engineers and field application engineers today enables us, if required by the customer, even implementation of complete new designs right up to the finished product. With two of its own ASIC design centers, the Gleichmann research laboratory in Austria and one of the largest and most modern programming centers in Europe, Gleichmann Electronics takes a leading role in terms of service and customer support.
