Machine and process data in the production IT
Manufacturing IT such as MPDV's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) HYDRA relies on real-time data from the shop floor to display both a current status and historical evaluations. In addition to the mere machine data (e.g. number of pieces, machine status ...), individual process values (e.g. pressure, temperature, feed rate ...) can also be relevant.
One solution for all machines
Based on standardized interface technologies, the IIoT Connector captures both analog and digital input signals. MPDV thereby also supports the connection of heterogeneous machine parks. The IIoT Connector makes the recorded signals or selected data available for further processing by means of OPC UA and MQTT. At the same time, configurable output signals can also be used for control, e.g. to visualize a defined state by means of a signal lamp.
Component for IIoT strategy
All in all, the IIoT Connector is a cost-effective and scalable solution for implementing a specific IIoT strategy. Therefore, the IIoT Connector can also be classified as an application component in the "Smart Factory Elements" model of MPDV.
