World premiere of the new ski service robots CRYSTAL ROCK, CRYSTAL ONYX AND CRYSTAL MAGIC at the ISPO 2018

The new MONTANA GRIPtech System is revolutionising the preparation of side edges

(PresseBox) (Stans, )
The launch of the new generation of ski service robots at the ISPO 2018 was a great success.

With the new CRYSTAL ROCK, CRYSTAL ONYX AND CRYSTAL MAGIC machines, MONTANA is providing the optimal robots depending on service workload and desired service steps. All machines are equipped with the new, revolutionary GRIPtech System for the preparation of side edges.

The GRIPtech System is revolutionising the preparation of side edges: it enables the grinding of a precise edge. This unparalleled technique sees all the functional areas of the ski, from the shovel to the tail, ground to RACE EDGE quality. Grinding in a vertical direction creates microstructures which ensure a sharp and durable edge.

The result is a sharp edge with maximum durability, combined with a maximum throughput and removal which is gentle on the material.

ADVANTAGES
  • Precise and uniform angle
  • Outstanding surface with RACE EDGE quality
  • Grinding of all functional areas from shovel to tail
  • Sharp edge with maximum durability
  • Grinding is gentle on the material
  • Maximum throughput with consistent quality
  • Excellent results, even on corroded edges
  • High cost efficiency
  • Suitable for skis and snowboards
  • Maximum enjoyment on the slopes

CRYSTAL MAGIC - THE ROBOTS FOR PREMIUM SKIS AND SNOWBOARDS
The ingenious concept allows for a fully customised configuration depending on service workload and desired service steps - with a selection of 5 machine sizes and 92 variations, the optimal solution can always be found.

The new CRYSTAL MAGIC robot with a high hourly throughput was developed specifically for shops with medium to high ski service volumes. The robot features impressive technology of the highest standard with unbeatable modularity: the wide stone makes the CRYSTAL MAGIC the optimal solution when skis and snowboards require robotic processing.

CRYSTAL ONYX - HIGH PERFORMANCE SKI SERVICE ROBOT
With two grinding stones, the CRYSTAL ONYX service robot is the optimal machine for pure ski service at rental stations and shops with high service volumes:
a throughput of 45 pairs of skis per hour using 4 stone contacts ensures an efficient process. The service process is fully automated and ski length is automatically measured therein – this means that the 7 plates adapt to the shape of the ski and ensure a fast and safe operation.

CRYSTAL ROCK - ALL-ROUND ROBOT FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED SHOPS
The wide grinding stone makes the CRYSTAL ROCK the optimal machine for small and medium-sized shops. It is also ideal as it can be used for both skis and snowboards alike.
