Zum Verkauf der Produktionssparte teilte Roland Thomas, Moldflow's Präsident und CEO mit: "Wir freuen uns, die Vereinbarung zwischen Husky und Moldflow ankündigen zu können. Als wir bekannt gegeben haben, dass der Produktionsbereich zum Verkauf steht, haben wir nach einem Unternehmen gesucht, das die Infrastruktur zum weltweiten Verkauf und Service der Moldflow Produktionsmodule bietet. Sowohl Moldflow als auch Husky sind der Überzeugung, dass es außerordentlich wichtig ist, Produkte und Dienstleistungen anzubieten, die das Produktdesign mit den Produktionsprozessen verbinden. Wir glauben, mit Husky das Unternehmen gefunden zu haben, das in der Lage ist, Produkte zu liefern, die dieser Vision entsprechen und dass Husky ebenfalls den hohen Ansprüchen an Service und Support, den die Moldflow-Kunden erwarten, genügen wird."

Gemäß der Vereinbarung wird Husky im wesentlichen alle Aktiva des Produktions-bereiches (Moldflow Manufacturing division) mit den Produkten Altanium®, Shotscope® und Celltrack™ übernehmen. Die Moldflow Plastics Xpert® (MPX®) Software bleibt weiterhin bei Moldflow.
