Das neueste Release des Modellierungs-Werkzeugs Innovator for Enterprise Analysts der MID GmbH ermöglicht es Nutzer, ihre Unternehmensarchitekturen nach dem OMG (Object Management Group)-Standard 3.0 der Notation ArchiMate® zu beschreiben.

Mit der im Juni veröffentlichten Spezifikation ArchiMate® 3.0 reagierte die OMG auf die wachsende Anforderung, Unternehmensarchitekturen auf einem strategischen Level zu modellieren. Dies beinhaltet eine effizientere Darstellung von Capabilities, Ressourcen und Ergebnissen. Zusätzlich bietet ArchiMate® 3.0 nun die Möglichkeit, Maschinen- und Fertigungsanlagen als Ressourcen einzubinden und somit im Kontext des Internet of Things zu modellieren. Alles in allem können strategische Anforderungen so besser in die operativen Abläufe der IT-Abteilungen überführt werden. Darüber hinaus wurde die Notation in Konsistenz und Struktur maßgeblich verbessert und an andere Notationsstandards angeglichen.
