Micronas delivered more than 2.5 billion Hall sensors to the market

Micronas expresses its gratitude to its key customer DENSO for the joint shipping of the 500 millionth Hall sensor to the automotive industry

(PresseBox) (Freiburg, )
Micronas (SIX Swiss Exchange: MASN) known and recognized in the automotive and industrial business as a global partner for intelligent, sensor-based system solutions, today announced that it has delivered more than 2.5 billion Hall-sensor solutions to the automotive and industrial market. "Micronas has pioneered CMOS based Hall-effect sensors and supplies a large portfolio of highest quality products for many different kinds of applications using precise measurement of different parameters like position, pressure, speed, level or current", says Matthias Bopp, CEO of the Micronas Group. "Micronas offers today the world's broadest range of Hall-effect sensors."

Today Micronas expresses its gratitude to its key customer DENSO Corporation for the excellent collaboration in recent years, highlighting the mutual benefit of this partnership for both companies. Together they have shipped already half a billion Hall-sensor solutions to the automotive market. DENSO Corporation was able to expand their deliveries of safety-critical powertrain systems, while Micronas ensured the supply of reliable products using its in-house manufacturing capabilities with a strong focus on excellent quality and logistics.

DENSO Corporation is a leading supplier of powertrain control system modules, such as Accelerator Pedal Module (APM), Electric Throttle Module (ETM) and other important control system modules requiring high-performance sensing technologies. Micronas uses advanced design methodologies, modern test equipment, and excellent process control to guarantee the very demanding quality levels imposed by the automotive industry and - in particular - the very high quality levels required by DENSO Corporation. Micronas today offers a flexible portfolio of programmable, very accurate and sensitive Hall sensors fitting very well into the magnetic designs of DENSO's system experts.

"At Micronas we are very proud of this long-term relationship with DENSO Corporation. DENSO is an important driving force for us, both for quality enhancement as well as for product improvement to enable innovations at system level. We are fully committed to continue this strong relationship and to introduce the best solutions for automotive control system modules for the automotive industry", says Matthias Bopp.
