On March 1, 2012, Dirk Behrens succeeds Klaus Heberle as Head of the Automotive division at Micronas. He will report directly to CEO Matthias Bopp. Dirk Behrens has been one of the co-founders of a start-up company in the high-tech sector. Before this, he held a variety of positions in the semiconductor sector for many years. During this period, Dirk Behrens was responsible for several development projects and had various leadership roles in strategy, sales and marketing units within the automotive and industrial fields.
The new Innovation Center was founded in order to foster innovation in automotive electronics, and to translate these innovations into new products. By creating the Innovation Center, Micronas is aiming at strengthening its strategic product development. Klaus Heberle is becoming head of the Innovation Center as Chief Innovation Officer. In this role, he will report directly to CEO Matthias Bopp.
