Metal Work presents a new line of pressure regulators featuring exceptional precision and high-relief flow capacity. They are suitable for use in applications in which supply pressure must be as accurate as possible and air is allowed to circulate both on delivery and return. A typical application is in straightening cylinders, where the cylinder piston rod is required, when pushed from the outside, to follow the in and out movement without varying the thrust and thus pressure. Other applications are the equalizing cylinders, manual load lifting systems and constant pressure reservoirs: They come in various sizes, with 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" ports. The pressure setting range varies from 0 to 2, 0 to 4 or 0 to 8 bar. Relieving sensitivity, i.e. downstream overpressure at which the regulator starts relieving air to restore the set pressure value, is only 0.010 bar. Regulated pressure is not affected by changes in the supply pressure; this means that. when the upstream pressure varies from 4 to 7 bar, the regulated pressure varies by only 0.020 bar.
From a design point of view, it was decided to mount diaphragm-type gaskets to avoid internal friction. Flow regulation and the relief valves are mounted in an opposed arrangement and are of the same size so as to create a system of perfectly balanced pneumatic forces.
The valve body is sturdy and is made of aluminium that is treated and painted to withstand unfavourable ambient conditions.
