German Airport Operator Fraport Chooses Software Userbooster to Introduce IT Capacity Management

Innovative system for transparent IT cost allocation goes live at German airport operator Fraport / Userbooster® from maxcrc, Germany, is the tool of choice

(PresseBox) (Langen, )
To secure both an increase of efficiency and greater awareness for blocked network capacities, Fraport AG chooses to introduce a departmental cost allocation for IT resources organization-wide.

In team with the IT experts of Fraport the developers at maxcrc came up with a low-maintenance software solution that perfectly meets the Fraport requirements. While requiring only minimum configuration efforts it provides highly reliable load monitoring thus ensuring that IT capacity meets current and future business needs.

Norbert Richter, Senior Manager IT-Infrastructure:

"The comprehensive stats on our datacenters' capacity availability collected over an extended period of time are the basis for planning the future financial investments in our infrastructure. Our internal cost allocation is based on required IT services and covers the whole company. By doing so we achieve both full IT cost transparency and a just involvement of all departments. Over the years maxcrc has become an important solution provider in the market segment with ever-shortening technology lifecycles. Therefore we are glad that this joined project proved to be successful."

maxcrc implements the actual data monitoring of all relevant IT capacities of Fraport AG. By supplying detailed statistics a new approach to allocating IT resources eventually becomes possible. The solution includes all data storage units, data ware house products and even load and throughput of the company's groupware. The implementation of Userbooster strictly followed the explicit corporate policies of this area.

Roland Ehlert, General Manager of maxcrc:

"As a software provider we always strive to perfectly integrate in existing IT infrastructures. Only through the extensive support of the infrastructure management team at Fraport AG the project became such as success."
