Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle AG has just completed its most successful in-house exhibition ever. During four days from April 25-28 2007, more than 1700 customers and Interested persons from 850 companies visited the Hermle location in Gosheim on the Swabian Alb in Southern Germany. A variety of workpieces representing such diverse industries as tool and mould making, medical technology, automotive racing, the aeronautical and aerospace industry, precision technology, and mechanical engineering were manufactured on over 20 universal milling machines and machining centres. Machining examples presented in the exhibit focused especially on 5-side / 5-axis machining.
The highlight of the 2007 exhibit was the new Alchemy technology, which was presented to the public for the first time. Technical presentations covering three days and production demonstrations performed on the machines were eagerly attended by large crowds.
The successful event was topped off by a special exhibit entitled "Clamping Technology" with 40 exhibitors from industry sectors such as clamping technology, CAD/CAM, and control technology.
Tours of the plant revealed Hermle AG's manufacturing depth illustrating especially the ultramodern manufacturing equipment, the latest in assembly concepts, and upcoming investment projects in the Gosheim location.
