Exhibitor record at inter airport Europe 2007

St Albans, (PresseBox) - The 16th inter airport Europe, International Exhibition for Airport Equipment, Technology and Services, will be the biggest ever. The show will take place from 9-12 October 2007 on extended exhibition grounds at Munich Airport. Some 600 companies from 30 countries will display their new and enhanced products and services.

The event is the international market place for professionals from all sectors of the airport industry: passenger, baggage and aircraft handling, security systems, freight handling, IT/software, logistics, construction and terminal design, consulting as well as fire and rescue services. The previous show attracted more than 12,000 visitors, with 50% of the visitors coming from outside Germany, from as many as 126 countries.

The organisers, Mack Brooks Exhibitions Ltd, are confident they can build on the success of the previous exhibition, as the uptrend of the airport industry continues. “In a world with ever closer business relations between countries all over the globe, airports have become the major hubs of global trade. In many international capitals, whole airport cities have been developed around airport sites; and regional airports, too, continue to register substantial growth figures“, says Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director inter airport Europe. “As the leading trade exhibition and barometer of the airport industry, inter airport Europe reflects the boom of this industry branch. This year’s show will again present the latest products and services: the whole range of solutions needed for the construction and enhancement of a modern airport will be on display”, explains Nicola Hamann.

This year, on extended outdoor exhibition grounds, there will be more room for large-scale equipment and heavy machinery, such as enormous de-icers and powerful push-backs for the Airbus A380, eco-friendly hybrid vehicles, modern airport buses and passenger stairs.

But also on the inside exhibition area, in Hangar 4 and Hall 4A, even more companies than at the record event in 2005 will showcase a large variety of products, including high tech detectors for dangerous liquids and weapons, advanced check-in solutions, simplified passenger travel systems, new systems for runway maintenance and lighting, efficient cargo and baggage handling technology, flight monitoring and control systems.

inter airport Europe is open from Tuesday, 9 October, to Thursday, 11 October, from 9.00 to 17.00 and on Friday, 12 October 2007, from 9.00 to 15.00. Entrance tickets can be purchased either on-site or via the online ticket shop at www.interairport.com/europe. The price for a day ticket is €37 and for a season ticket €57, including the official show catalogue.

The inter airport Europe website www.interairport.com/europe offers up-to-date information, including travel and accommodation advice, as well a complete exhibitor list and a detailed Show Preview.
