Exhibition and Conference for Sheet Metal Working in Poland

BLECHbusiness almost sold out

St Albans, (PresseBox) - There is huge interest from the sheet metal working industry for the rapidly developing market of Central Europe: the first BLECHbusiness event, which will take place from 27 – 29 November 2007 in Warsaw, Poland is almost sold out. Amongst the exhibitors are many big names from the sheet metal working industry. The majority of the 100 exhibiting companies come from Germany, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

“In the last few years, an important production base for sheet metal working has been emerging in Central Europe. With BLECHbusiness we have organised an event which is exclusively targeted at the sheet metal working industry in this important market. BLECHbusiness is for everyone involved in sheet metal production, working or trading. In particular, the event might be of interest to agents looking for new business contacts, as many of the foreign exhibitors want to further develop their businesses in Poland and Central Europe.

Alongside the exhibition there will be a conference with 5 individual sessions, as well as exhibitor presentations in a presentation theatre within the exhibition area.

The three-day conference, organised by the European Research Association for Sheet Metal Working EFB, includes papers on research, joining, forming, machines and tools as well as methods. Dr.-Ing. Norbert Wellmann, CEO of the EFB, will open the conference. Amongst the conference speakers are many top-class industry and research professionals from Poland and Germany: Andrzej Ciepiela, General Director PUDS – Steel Distributors Association Poland; Prof. Dr.-Ing. Prof. h.c. Stefan Böhm, Technical University Braunschweig; Marek Dolina, CEO Arcelor Mittal Steel Service Center Central Europe; and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Thoms, Technical University Dresden. Further speakers include representatives from Volkswagen AG; IWS Fraunhofer Dresden; the Welding and Joining Institute RWTH Aachen; the University of Rostock; TM Steel Chorzów and the AiF contact office in Warsaw. In the presentation theatre, situated within the exhibition area of the show, exhibiting companies will present new and enhanced products and services: Anchor Lamina, Beutler Nova, Bohler Uddeholm Polska, Fast-Square, Graebener Maschinentechnik, GSW Schwabe, Ming Chiang Enterprise, Trumpf Polska, Schuler Systems & Services as well as Stalobrex and many more will give short, 15-minute presentations.

BLECHbusiness will take place in the EXPO XXI International Expo Centre in Warsaw. Opening hours are Tuesday, 27 November 2007, and Wednesday, 28 November 2007, from 9 am to 5 pm, and on Thursday, 29 November 2007, from 9 am to 4 pm.
