m2p-labs offers new Automated Fermentation Platform with Market Leader
Through the 'live-monitoring' of the bioprocess, researchers gain for the first time detailed process information already in the early bioprocess development. "We managed to develop a unique platform to accelerate clone screening and early bioprocess development. The RoboLector platform has the capability to replace most of the common and very laborious experiments in stirred-tank fermenters", said Dr. Frank Kensy, Managing Director of m2p-labs GmbH. "The combination of high-throughput, online-monitoring and simple, automated handling provides an intelligent solution for complex questions in bioprocess development and life-science research."
With the development of the RoboLector m2p-labs directly respond to the demand from pharmaceutical and chemical industry as well as from biotech companies for automated high-throughput fermentation systems. The systems can be applied in clone screening, media and fermentation optimization and can be operated in batch, fedbatch and repeated fedbatch mode.
The Tecan Freedom Evo is available with different layouts: Model 75, 100, 150 and 200. Starting with a 1-tip pipetting robot for the simple addition of substrates and inducers as well as for automated sampling, complete systems with 8-tips and integrated gripper, incubation hotels, cooling systems, centrifuges, laminar flows and so on are available. "The complete package of the RoboLector with the Tecan Freedom Evo including IQ/OQ can be ordered now worldwide", announces Dr. Bhupinder Hundle, Senior Consultant Sales.
The joint development of the RoboLector with the 'Tecan Freedom Evo' platform is an innovative expansion of the m2p-labs portfolio to bring the whole bioprocess (Up and Downstream) on an automated liquid-handling system. Through the launch of the new Automated Fermentation Platform m2p-labs endeavor to serve its customers with intelligent solutions to speed up bioprocess development and consequently reducing 'time to market' for products.
m2p-labs is financed by the High-Tech-Gründerfonds (business start-up fund), the KfW and the Seed Fund Aachen. The biotechnology company is specialised in the development of process solutions for cell culture and microbiology in micro-litre scale. The first marketable development is a unique miniature bioreactor system for high content screening. m2p-labs' special know-how in micro process technology and automation enables the company to offer interested customers contract research or consulting. The company is based in Baesweiler near Aachen, Germany. www.m2p-labs.com
