LuraTech at DMS EXPO 2010

(PresseBox) (Berlin, )
.
- Meet us at DMS EXPO 2010 in Stuttgard (Hall 7 / Booth A77)
- LuraTech presents the DocYard integration platform and the new LuraDocument
- PDF Compressor 5.7 We are looking forward to your visit!

The focus of the trade show exhibit by LuraTech Europe GmbH at DMS EXPO will be on the DocYard integration platform, which enables all functions necessary for efficient document conversion to be integrated in centrally controllable workflows. LuraTech will demonstrate this based on a specific customer project which was implemented, demonstrating the great flexibility and scalability of the software. DocYard can adapt quickly, flexibly and cost-effective to changed requirements for document processing. Existing workflows can be expanded or modified independently by customers. This preserves past capital investments in systems and components, which in fact increase in value with the introduction of DocYard.

LuraTech will also show the new version 5.7 of its LuraDocument Compressor at the event. There are a number of functional extensions to this powerful software, which enable even more flexible and convenient use. Moreover, LuraTech in the vanguard of preparation for the new part of the standard with its entire conversion solution already designed to meet the requirements for PDF/A-2.

The DMS EXPO will be held from October 26 to 28, 2010 in Stuttgart.

DocYard from LuraTech is a complete platform integrating all the functions of document conversion in workflows which can be managed centrally. Initial customers for the platform include a large provider of document scanning services. Critical factors in the provider's choice were good support, professional consultation, high functionality and a fast return on investment. The project will be presented at the DMS EXPO. This will give visitors to the trade show specific insight into how a controllable production environment for individual document processing can be achieved with DocYard and how companies can benefit from its efficiency, performance and scalability.

So it was with the document scanning services provider, who benefited demonstrably from the product's features with a very fast ROI.

The exact monitoring and controlling of jobs made possible with the file manager and the fast, accurate OCR engine were particular advantages. Jobs which were previously performed manual were fully automated with DocYard.

LuraTech has designed a comprehensive workflow for this which users can implement or develop further as required. In this regard, the functions for classification and form data extraction from the PDF Compressor were also implemented as DocYard modules. This includes presorting or paper stacks or manual data entry. The module includes an intuitively operable form designer with which rules for form recognition and data extraction light can be defined easily. This enables a great variety of different document types to be processed. A form validator is included to ensure 100% accuracy of the data read before it is imported to the back office systems.

As Carsten Heiermann, managing director of LuraTech Europe GmbH, explained, "LuraTech, has positioned itself successfully as a leading provider of integration platforms and production grade document conversion software. The projects carried out up to now show how DocYard gives users and providers the possibility to take all their various individual tools and forge them into a complete solution for all requirements. Flexible license models mean that it pays to use this solution regardless of whether the volumes to process are large or small."

Version 5.7 of the LuraDocument PDF Compressor is ready for PDF/A-2 The LuraDocument PDF Compressor is a production level application providing compression, conversion to PDF(/A), OCR, classification and form data extraction capabilities This range of products is simple to integrate in workflows and uses LuraTech's award-winning mixed raster content (MRC) compression technology (layer method) to convert color, grayscale or black and white scanned documents into high-quality, highly compressed PDF- and PDF/A files. Even electronically generated documents can be converted to PDF and PDF/A files and processed in batch.

Now LuraTech has made version 5.7 of the PDF Compressor "PDF/A-2 ready". PDF/A-2, the new part of the ISO standard for long-term archiving based on the independent ISO standard 32000-1, will be presented at the PDF/A conference prior to the DMS EXPO. While PDF/A-1 was based on PDF version 1.4, PDF/A-2 can use functions which are only available with PDF version 1.7 or later. This includes, among other things, JPEG2000 image compression. The additional PDF/A-2 options in the PDF Compressor will be available directly after the new part of the standard is officially adopted, anticipated to be in the first quarter of 2011.
