"We wanted a modern recruitment tool, allowing us to best meet our different objectives," explains Sara Gallinari, Development Director of HR at RATP Dev. "We needed to increase our recruitment volume through a wider but targeted publication of vacancies, to reduce costs and delays in recruitment, and build a talent pool that all our recruiter groups, both in France and abroad, can see."
Following the integration of numerous subsidiaries in 2011, employee numbers at RATP Dev tripled to over 10,000 people spread over fifty companies. This growth needs to continue in the coming months as key new recruits are needed in subsidiaries and headquarters to strengthen existing teams. Before Lumesse TalentLink RATP Dev had no career portal software and application processing solution, jobs ads simply being posted online via e-mail.
"This is another great example of how Lumesse fulfils its promise to be the only global company making talent management work locally," said Lumesse CEO, Matthew Parker "RATP Dev needs to find highly-skilled, in-demand talent across multiple countries, both externally and internally, and it needs technology that will give it cutting edge capabilities in terms of user adoption, user experience, and social and mobile platforms."
The implementation of Lumesse Talent represents a major step forward for the group in making its processes more efficient, particularly in the light of strong growth forecasts. The first benefits were soon felt: "Since the implementation of Lumesse TalentLink we've seen a substantial increase in resumes received, indicating that we have gained visibility and improved employer branding," notes Sara Gallinari.
RATP Dev recruits mainly operational staff for its subsidiaries in many countries. Most opportunities are for experienced candidates, including management positions, where recruits must combine managerial know-how, technical expertise and knowledge of the transport business. "These are positions that require both technical and managerial skills. Great candidates are rare and Lumesse TalentLink will allow us to more easily find these in-demand people, and also to build and enrich our own internal talent pool of skilled managers," explains Sara Gallinari.
RATP Dev says the implementation of Lumesse TalentLink contributes to developing the attractiveness of the company and promoting its employer brand by making it faster and easy for candidates to apply. "RATP Dev is an innovative company - we wanted to provide our employees and our candidates with an innovative and friendly application experience so they can use, for example, smartphones and tablets."
Having a tool that provided a good user experience - both for managers and HR users - ensures adoption of the tool internally and also creates a positive first impression for applicants.
"With the many channels that Lumesse TalentLink offers to publicise vacancies we can more easily reach potential candidates, in France and abroad, while speeding up the processing of applications. We'll gain time and efficiency," concludes Sara Gallinari.
