Ultra-flat slider and swivel mechanisms

Schalksmühle, (PresseBox) - The manufacturers of mobile telephones are quite clear about their aims: Flat and above all simple; and in conjunction with these aims the mechanical subassemblies in their devices must be extremely reliable.

In response to these requirements, Lumberg has developed innovative, ultra-flat slider and swivel mechanisms. In comparison with the solutions available on the market today, the selected approaches are simple, economic as well as forwardlooking while at the same time they are extremely versatile in use. The core of these innovative approaches is formed by the patented “Galaxy”
spring with a thickness of just 0.3 millimeters.

Solutions based on this type of spring define new standards in particular with regard to flexibility, costs and miniaturization of functional movement mechanisms that allow mobile phone designers to venture into new dimensions.

Both standardized and fully individual solutions adapted to suit the respective requirements of the customer are possible within the concept of these solutions for providing movements; thus, guaranteeing the maximum possible freedom to design.
