With the TETRA RMCP, while RMCP stands for Rugged Modular Computing Platform, you are no longer tied to the lab with your PXI or PXIe applications. This all-metal industrial and military portable PC provides a highly robust enclosure to protect sensitive measurement modules yet thanks to the recessed, ergonomic handles, can be carried comfortably with one hand and even with protective gloves.
The smartly designed housing is protected against falling rain, is absolute rigid and resists shocks and vibration. The front integrates a 15.4" large, sunlight readable LCD monitor with LED backlight, which can be dimmed in 64 discrete steps. Also integrated on the front panel is a removable 2.5" hard disk, a DVD drive and two auxiliary USB ports.
In the PXI and PXIe version, backplanes from National Instrument are used. In the cPCI design, backplanes are from Elma and the cPCI unit can be equipped with an internal KVM switch, for switching SBCs in the split backplane configuration. The TETRA RMCP takes up to eight cards in the PXI, cPCI or PXIe version.
The universal AC/DC power system allows simultaneous input voltage on AC and DC with seamless intelligent autoswitching. The intelligent AirFlow system with temperature controlled fans provides cooling for the electronics while the optional integrated heater can preheat the system to minimum operating temperature in extreme cold conditions.
Logic Instrument also offers the option to utilize ruggedized connectors using a configurable “Top Hat” that allows a transition from commercial to industrial or MILSPEC connectors.
