SMART Technologies präsentierte Ende Oktober den neuen LEGIC PC/SC Leser Multiplex. Sein standardisiertes PC/SC Interface für LEGIC prime und LEGIC advant Transponder Chips macht den Leser einzigartig.

Mit dem neuen LEGIC PC/SC Leser Multiplex kann jede Applikation - egal ob für Zugangskontrolle, Zeiterfassung oder bargeldloses Bezahlen - welche bei der kontaktlosen Personenidentifikation die eindeutige Seriennummer (UID) lesen kann und somit PCSC 2.01 integriert hat, ohne Zusatzaufwand auf das proprietäre Filesystem von LEGIC advant und LEGIC prime zugreifen. Ein transparenter Kanal durch den PC/SC Leser-Treiber ermöglicht das Beschreiben des Transponders und die vollumfängliche Verwendung der LEGIC advant und LEGIC prime Funktionssets.

Das Produkt besticht durch ein modernen Design und geringen Integrationsaufwand. Zusätzlich zu Transponder Chips aus der LEGIC prime und LEGIC advant Familie können bei entsprechenden Anpassungen auch weitere 13,56 MHz Transponder eingesetzt werden, so beispielsweise Chips der MIFARE Familie. Der neue LEGIC PC/SC Leser Multiplex ist für die Desktop-Anwendung oder als PCB zur Integration in Terminals entwickelt worden.
