Wegweisendes Komplettpaket für IR-Anwendungen jenseits der 5 µm-Grenze

Pyroelektrischer Detektor und Emitter optimal aufeinander abgestimmt

Mit der Serie 55+ eröffnet LASER COMPONENTS der IR-Technologie neue Anwendungsbereiche.  Die Komponenten sind so aufeinander abgestimmt, dass sie bei Wellenlängen zwischen 5 µm und 10 µm beste Ergebnisse liefern. Dieser Bereich des infraroten Spektrums wird derzeit für analytische Zwecke noch wenig genutzt.

Die pyroelektrischen Detektoren im »Differential Mode« von LASER COMPONENTS basieren auf einer patentierten Technologie der Unternehmensgruppe. Dadurch erreichen sie ein konkurrenzlos gutes Signal/Rausch-Verhältnis und können ihre Stärken Wellenlängenbereich jenseits der 5 µm besonders gut ausspielen.

Die ebenfalls patentierten IR-Strahler des Dresdener Herstellers Infrasolid bieten bei Modulationen bis 5 Hz und Wellenlängen bis zu 15 µm eine nahezu perfekte Effizienz. Das Paket enthält standardmäßig die Version im TO-8-Gehäuse mit Reflektor und Winstonkonus. Alternativ sind die Emitter aber auch in 3×3mm SMD-Gehäusen für miniaturisierte Designs erhältlich.

Ergänzt wird die Detektor-Emitter-Kombination durch anwendungsspezifische Filter.

»Die meisten IR-Anwendungen konzentrieren sich heute auf die Detektion von Erdgas und Verbrennungsgasen und damit auf den Wellenlängenbereich zwischen 3 µm und 5 µm«, sagt Joe Kunsch, Leiter des Geschäftsbereichs IR-Komponenten bei LASER COMPONENTS Germany. »Doch auch jenseits der 5 µm-Grenze gibt es interessante Anwendungsbereiche. Zum Beispiel die Charakterisierung organischer Verbindungen. Das fossile Zeitalter nähert sich seinem Ende. Da gewinnt dieser Bereich des IR-Spektrums immer mehr an Bedeutung.«
