LASER COMPONENTS hat jetzt zwei kompakte, leistungsstarke Nanosekundentreiber für Laserdioden im Sortiment. LDP-AV 16N45-40 und LDP-AV 1N50-450 wurden vom Hersteller PicoLAS vor allem für den Einsatz in LiDAR-Anwendungen entwickelt.

Die LDP-AV 16N45-40-Elektronik verfügt über 16 separate Kanäle, die insgesamt mit einem Strom von 640 A bestückt werden können, sodass jeweils ein Ausgangsstrom von bis zu 40 A zur Verfügung steht. Jeder dieser Kanäle kann unabhängig und sequenziell angesteuert werden. Damit ist der Treiber optimal für Mehrkanal-Anwendungen geeignet. Die Dauer der einzelnen Impulse wird vom Hersteller nach Kundenvorgaben eingestellt. Laserleistungen von mehr als 650 W lassen sich mit dem LDP-AV 1N50-450 steuern. Die Elektronik ist besonders kompakt gebaut und bietet bei einer Pulsdauer von 5 ns Ausgangsströme von 450 A sowie eine Leistungsdichte von 1,71 W/mm². Auch andere Impulsdauern können fest eingestellt werden. Damit keine Störungen durch Induktionsströme auftreten, lassen sich Laserdioden und andere Emitter direkt auf der Leiterplatte des Treibers montieren.
