Die Messplattform MAP-200 von JDSU ist ein modular aufbauter Messplatz für die Charakterisierung faseroptischer Komponenten und Systeme in Forschung, Entwicklung und Produktion.

Für spektrale Messungen wurden zwei neue Module für das System vorstellt, die ebenfalls über die LASER COMPONENTS GmbH erworben werden können: das Wellenlängenmessmodul mWAVE-A1 und das hochauflösende optische Spektrumanalysator- Modul mHROSA-A1.

Das mWAVE-A1 ist ein Multi-Wellenlängen-Wavemeter welches mittels kohärenter Detektionstechnik die optischen Leistungspegel und Mittenwellenlängen von dicht gepackten optischen Signalen bestimmen kann - mit einem Abstand bis hinunter zu 2 GHz. In DWDM-Übertragungssystemen lassen sich so die vorhandenen DWDM-Wellenlängen und deren Leistungspegel detektieren.

Das Spektrumanalysator-Modul mHROSA-A1 kombiniert das Multi-Wellenlängen-Wavemeter mit einem hochauflösenden optischen Spektrum-Analysator. Neben der Detektion und Messung der Leistungspegel ermöglicht das OSA-Modul auch die grafische Darstellung des Spektrums. Typische Anwendungen sind die Charakterisierung von DWDM-Übertragungssystemen, optischen Quellen, Transpondern und Line Cards.
