Neue Photonenzähler ergänzen ab sofort LASER COMPONENTS' COUNT® Serie: Die Modelle COUNT® S besitzen die hohe Quanteneffizienz der anderen Modelle und eine deutlich größere aktive Fläche von 500 μm, welche die Fokussierung erleichert. Diese Photonenzähler sind passiv gequencht und somit eine kostengünstigste Alternative zu den bisherigen COUNT® Modulen. Sie eignen sich besonders für Forschungs- und Schülerpraktika - zum Beispiel im Bereich der Quantenoptik und Quanteninformation.

Bei einer Totzeit von ca. 1 μs ergibt sich eine maximale Zählrate von bis zu 1 Mcps. Die Dunkelzählraten der COUNT® S Serie bewegen sich modellabhängig im Bereich von 1000 - 5000 cps und knüpfen direkt an aktiv gequenchten Photonenzähler an.

Arbeitsweise: Eintreffende Photonen erzeugen elektrische Pulse im Detektor, welche über den TTL-Ausgang ausgelesen werden. Die optional verfügbare PSU rundet die Ausstattung des Plug-and-Play Moduls ab. Alle COUNT® S Modelle sind wahlweise mit FC/PC Faserkopplung erhältlich.
