SiC ist das Standardmaterial für "Solar Blind" UV-Fotodioden. Es ist nicht nur in diesem Wellenbereich empfindlich sondern zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Robustheit aus.

Neu im Sortiment ist die JEC 1.7l Fotodiode mit einer Chipgröße von 1,7 mm². Gegenüber dem JEC1 mit einer Chipgröße von 1 mm² bietet sie einen Signalgewinn von 50% im Peak und von knapp 100% bei 230 nm! - Bei dem Vergleich wird jeweils die volle Ausleuchtung des Detektors vorausgesetzt.

Preislich sind die Varianten gleich angesiedelt. Die neue Variante wird vorzugsweise isoliert als JEC 1.7l aufgebaut. Auf Wunsch kann sie mit zusätzlichen UV-A, UV-B und UV-C Filtern ausgestattet werden.
