LASER COMPONENTS' Partner für optische Filter, Omega Optical, Inc., hat als erster Filterhersteller auf die Dual Magnetron Reactive Sputtering Technologie (DMRS) gesetzt. Mit Erfolg. Die Nachfrage ist so groß, dass eine weitere leistungsstarke DMRS Anlage installiert wurde.

Die Vorteile des Prozesses liegen in hohen Aufdampfzeiten, dementsprechend kurzen Prozesszeiten bei einer hohen Stabilität und Reproduzierbarkeit sowohl innerhalb eines Wafers als auch von Charge zu Charge. Die moderne und gleichsam kostengünstige Technologie ist dabei ein Garant für hohe Qualität.

Alle von Omega in der DMRS-Technologie hergestellten Filter werden unter der Bezeichnung "QuantaMAX" vertrieben. Die Filter zeichnen sich durch besonders steile Kanten und geringe Passband Ripple aus und genügen damit hohen Ansprüchen. Eingesetzt werden sie beispielsweise in der Ramanspektroskopie, Bildverarbeitung oder klinischen Chemie. Insbesondere für mittlere und größere Stückzahlen ist die neue Anlage ein Gewinn, welcher sich für die Kunden in wettbewerbsfähigen Preisen widerspiegelt.
