Durch Investitionen in neue Technologien konnte LASER COMPONENTS sein Leistungsangebot bei der Beschichtung von Faserendflächen entscheidend erweitern. Das Unternehmen ist jetzt in der Lage, größere Stückzahlen zu bearbeiten und hat gleichzeitig die Voraussetzungen geschaffen, um die Bearbeitung weiterer Fasertypen zu ermöglichen. Für den Kunden bedeutet das ein größeres Produktangebot und Preisvorteile durch kosteneffiziente Produktion.

"Abhängig von der Assembly-Konfiguration können wir jetzt auch Fasern mit großen Biegeradien oder sehr großen Kerndurchmessern bis zu 1000 μm bearbeiten. Vor allem im Bereich der Multimodefasern eröffnen sich dadurch zusätzliche Möglichkeiten", erklärt Florian Tächl, Spezialist für Faseroptik bei LASER COMPONENTS.

Durch eine verbesserte Ionenquelle konnte zudem die Oberflächenqualität von Antireflexionsbeschichtungen verbessert werden. Je nach Beschichtung und Wellenlänge erreicht LASER COMPONENTS Rückreflexionen von 0,5 % bis 0,2 %. Vor allem bei der Einkopplung in aktive Elemente können Rückreflexionen deren Funktion beeinträchtigen oder sogar Komponenten beschädigen.
