LASER COMPONENTS introduces a new partner: Lightel Technologies, Inc. produces fiber-optic components and machines used to manufacture fused couplers.

With hundreds of coupler workstations installed worldwide, Lightel has set the benchmark among almost all coupler-producing companies. In addition to standard fibers with a diameter of 125 μm, thicker fibers and polarization-maintaining fibers can also be processed.

The latest development is the compact coupler workstation FIBERFORGETM with a built-in control computer and an optional hydrogen generator, which ensures the highest flexibility. Suited for both the production and development of special couplers, FIBERFORGETM can process fibers with an optical diameter between 80 μm and 400 μm.
