Release of the ProMetric Y2
As a replacement to the old PM10, Radiant Zemax is now introducing the PM Y2. As the name says it is an addition to the Y-series and therefore has all the feature of the previous Ys such as electronic lens, 12-bit dynamic range CCD and high speed.
But, the pixel number will be closer to what the PM 10 offered, which in this case is 1600 x 1200 for the PM Y2. See information on the new ProMetricĀ® Imaging Photometers.
High Dynamic Range Measurement
HDR measurement is offered in the newly released of ProMetric software (rev. 10.9) and TrueTest (rev. 1.5). In HDR mode, multiple exposure times are used for a single measurement image, producing accurate data in the dark and bright regions in the same image. (offered in both a Photopic and IR radiometric version). This feature is available for all Y- and I-series.
I-Plus Series (incl. upgrade for existing I-Series)
I-Series cameras will become I-Plus cameras - offering dramatically faster measurement thanks to Quad-Mode and faster sub-framing. All I-Series cameras manufactured after December 1 will be I-Plus cameras. Upgrade is offered for existing I-Series cameras.
Improved Specifications of the G, I and Y-Series
Improved specifications for minimum luminance, and short-term repeatability. Updated spec-sheets will be available shortly.
Electronic 200mm lens
An electronic 200mm lens is now released (very useful for VisionCal users).
VisionCal configurations now based on i-Series as well
Until now, VisionCal was compatible with F- and G-Series only. Now, VisionCal configurations will be based on I-Series.
