PMD Quelle zur Erzeugung deterministischer PMD 1. und 2. Ordnung

Mit der PMDProT ist es erstmals möglich, deterministisch und mit hoher Auflösung PMD-Werte 1. Ordnung bis 180 ps und 2. Ordnung bis 8100 ps/2 zu erzeugen.

Die PMD-Quelle beinhaltet einen automatischen Polarisationscontroller und zwei Inline-Polarimeter, die den Polarisationszustand (SOP - State of Polarization) und Polarisationsgrad (DOP - Degree of Polarization) vor und nach den PMD erzeugenden Elementen messen und kontrollieren.

Die PMD-Quelle liefert deterministische PMD-Werte für PMD Toleranztests, die Evaluierung von PMD-Kompensatoren, die Emulation von PMD oder die Optimierung von PMD-Kompensatoren. Zusätzlich lässt sich das Gerät als Polarisationsscrambler oder Polarisationsstabilisator verwenden.
Wichtige Spezifikationen:

• PMD Variation Time: 1 ms min.
• Genauigkeit der Polarisationszustandsausrichtung (state of polarization SOP): +/-2°
• Trackinggeschwindigkeit der SOP: 10 pi/s
• Genauigkeit Polarisationsgrad: +/-2%
• Schnittstellen: USB, Ethernet, RS-232 und GPIB
