New Focus Phasen EOM mit KTP Kristall: Neuer, hocheffizienter Phasen EOM

Laser 2000 bietet ab sofort die neu entwickelten Phasen EOMs von New Focus basierend auf KTP Kristallen an.

Durch die Verwendung von KTP- statt den bisherigen LiNbO3-Kristallen wird die Effizienz um den Faktor 2 und die Zerstörschwelle sogar um das 5 fache verbessert. Sowohl für den sichtbaren- wie den IR-Bereich kann bis zu 2 GHz moduliert werden.

Durch die geringen Einkopplungsverluste und einer sehr effizienten Phasenmodulation bei gleichzeitig geringer, unerwünschter Amplitudenmodulation eignet sich dieser Modulator für eine Reihe von anspruchsvollen Applikationen. Dies sind zum Beispiel Atomfallen, Atomkühlung, Laser Frequenzstabilisierung, hochauflösende Spektroskopie oder „Laser-guide star“ Systeme für die Astronomie. Die EOMs sind extrem einfach in der Handhabung, man kann sie einfach in einen vorjustierten Strahlengang stellen.
