Scientific SWIR imaging
Raptor Photonics, a leader in the design and development of digital cameras, introduces the Ninox, a next generation InGaAs FPA camera achieving the world’s lowest readout noise of < 50 electrons/pixel and thermal noise < 1500 electrons/pixel/second at -20 °C. This is achieved with simple air or water TE cooling in a compact and rugged format. This is believed to be the most sensitive VIS-SWIR camera in the world. Raptor will present the first breakthrough results obtained with the Ninox in various applications. In astronomy with observations in the J band (1.17 to 1.33 µm) and H band (1.49 to 1.78 µm) for satellite tracking, speckle imaging, stellar nursery observations. In biology, fluorescence imaging in the NIR-II band (1.0 to 1.7 µm) using high yield nanoparticles allows for large penetration depth in tissues and high speed acquisition.
