At this year's congress of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), LAP focused on quality assurance. The presentation of the MR-compatible water phantom and QA software RadCalc once again underlined LAP's competence and innovative strength.
For the first time LAP presented itself with its new subsidiary LifeLine Software Inc. at the most important European congress for radiotherapy and oncology (ESTRO). RadCalc is used in more than 2,300 radiotherapy centers and is therefore the most widely used quality assurance software in the world. Visitors had the opportunity to test the software live at three stations and to talk about their questions with the RadCalc experts.
In addition, the LAP water phantom THALES 3D MR SCANNER for commissioning and quality assurance on the MRI-guided Linac was exhibited in Milan, which met with great interest.
"We deliberately decided to focus on quality assurance and give the products the appropriate attention. The development of the THALES 3D MR SCANNER clearly shows that we have recognized our customers' need for an MR-compatible phantom. At the 100 sqm booth, the steps of the workflow in radiation therapy were visualized in which LAP products are involved. This includes laser systems as well as phantoms, software and multi-leaf collimators of the LAP subsidiary Euromechanics. The joint appearance of the LAP Group with the focus on quality assurance was very well received by the visitors.
