LAP Presents Free Webinar: How to Speed up Laser Projection Tasks in Composite Manufacturing

Free webinar will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11:00am EST (5:00pm CEST) - registration available at: http://short.compositesworld.com/LAP65

(PresseBox) (Lueneburg, Germany, )
LAP will present a 60-minute webinar, hosted by CompositesWorld, on how to accelerate composite lay-up by using the DTEC-PRO camera system. Matthias Lange, Product Manager at LAP, will give practical and technical insights into camera-assisted laser projection. Attendees will learn firsthand how to reduce calibration effort from minutes to seconds and how to reap the benefits of it for their production processes.

LAP GmbH Laser Applikationen, Lueneburg (Germany), May 2018

THE TOPIC:
“Camera-assisted laser projection for acceleration of manual composite lay-up”

Laser projection systems are key components in manual composite manufacturing to increase process efficiency and process reliability, for example in the aviation industry. For precise laser projection used for composite lay-up, proper calibration of the tool is essential. Automatic calibration by camera during operation can reduce setup times significantly. Manufacturing centers that produce small to mid-size composite parts also demands flexible manufacturing concepts. The webinar will demonstrate how LAP’s DTEC-PRO camera system together with CAD-PRO laser positioning systems can support both accelerated composite manufacturing processes and flexible and versatile production concepts in a Smart Factory.

THE PRESENTER:

Matthias Lange, Product Manager at LAP and expert for LAP’s laser projection systems said: ”I will be giving participants practical demonstration on how they can reduce calibration effort for 3D tools from minutes to seconds. The webinar is a chance to experience how to save valuable time, increase reliability and bring more flexibility into composite manufacturing processes.”

ATTENDEES WILL LEARN HOW:

• Laser projection + camera system support composite lay-up on 3D tools
• Camera assistance speeds up calibration in composite manufacturing
• Automatic calibration works; further options of the IR camera system
• Flexible production processes in a Smart Factory are supported
