Mehr Leistung, größere Zuverlässigkeit: Neue Modulserie KD löst KC-Serie ab

Der japanische Technologiekonzern Kyocera, einer der führenden Hersteller im Bereich Photovoltaik, führt im Sommer 2008 seine neue Modulserie KD ein. Sie ersetzt die bisherige KC-Serie und zeichnet sich durch eine höhere Ausgangsleistung und große Zuverlässigkeit aus.

Solarzellen der neuen KD-Module werden in einem quadratischen Format produziert. Dieser Zuschnitt erlaubt eine günstige Anordnung ohne große Freiflächen innerhalb der Module und hat eine höhere Ausgangsleistung zur Folge. Den Anfang der neuen Serie macht im Frühsommer das Großmodul KD205GH-2P als Nachfolger des KC200GHT-2. Das KD205 leistet im direkten Vergleich 2,5 Prozent (5 Watt) mehr als sein Vorgänger.

Die KD-Serie steht auch für große Zuverlässigkeit: Die Abweichung der Nennleistung konnte auf +/-5 Prozent reduziert werden. Bei der KC-Serie betrug diese Toleranz noch +10/-5 Prozent.

Unsere Solarmodule stehen dabei im Fokus, um unseren Vorsatz von einer Balance zwischen wirtschaftlichem Wachstum und Umweltschutz in die Praxis umzusetzen", sagt Mitsuru Imanaka, Europapräsident der Kyocera Fineceramics GmbH.

Alle KD-Module erfüllen die neue IEC 61215 ed.2 Norm. Dieses Zertifikat ist ab dem 1. April 2008 für sämtliche kristallinen Solarmodule vorgeschrieben. Daher werden zu diesem Termin alle aktuellen KC-Module, deren KD-Nachfolger erst später hergestellt werden, modifiziert.

Kyocera verfolgt die Devise, Produkte zu entwickeln, die bestehende Umweltprobleme aktiv lösen können. Darüber hinaus ergreift das Unternehmen strenge konzernweite Umweltschutz-maßnahmen, zu denen der Schutz der Ozonschicht, Abfallreduzierung sowie Energie- und Ressourcenerhaltung gehört. So ersetzt Kyocera seit Januar 2008 schrittweise 179 seiner 194 Unternehmensfahrzeuge durch umweltschonende Hybrid-Automobile, um zu einer Reduzierung des CO2-Ausstoßes beizutragen.
