The award was announced at yesterday’s KC Live virtual event focusing on Customer Identity & Marketing Automation.
“Key requirements for a successful digital transformation strategy are all aspects of agility, usability, security, and compliance. Digital identities are therefore at the center of interest in digital transformation,” Matthias Reinwarth, Lead Advisor and Senior Analyst at KuppingerCole, said in his commendation.
BMW’s project was honored because it is based on a single, uniform concept for all types of identities required for a global enterprise. Also, it features fast application onboarding, compliance with current and modern standards, and a high degree of automation. The project, furthermore, included the consolidation of a range of identity siloes into a single unified set of services that were provided as an integrated part of state-of-the-art software development and deployment concepts.
“It is a uniform, modern and scalable identity infrastructure for a truly international corporation,” Reinwarth added handing over the digital trophy.
