KS Gleitlager at Auto Expo India 2014
Together with KSPG Automotive India Private Ltd., KS Gleitlager operates two production sites in Pune and Ahmednagar. The product range of the Indian company comprises engine bearings, bushings, and thrust washers for cars and commercial vehicles as well as farming, trains and stationary engines. Among the customers are Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors as well as Honda, Cummins and Kirloskar Oil Engines. The aftermarket is also supplied. Besides plain bearings for I.C. engines, sliding elements for other applications such as transmissions and brakes are also manufactured.. For the bearings manufacturer Auto Expo India is an important platform for showing trade visitors locally manufactured product highlights plus new, advanced developments.
"For us, Auto Expo India is an aimportant fair at the Asian market," explains Dr. Klaus Damm, in charge of Application Engineering and Quality Management. "Here we have not only OEMs and engine manufacturers but also tier-one and tier-two suppliers. For our broad product range of engine and non-engine plain bearings we find directly represented at the event existing and many potential customers.
The exhibits are selected to reflect engineering capabilities auf den Gebieten Lagerwerkstoffe und Gleitschichten sowie Produktdesign. Visitors will gain both, an insight into the local production range here in India and the close cooperation with the Group's German enterprises as efficiently practiced for certain product groups.
Auto Expo in New Delhi is staged every other year, alternating with SIAT, Pune. It is India's biggest automotive show and a highlight in the fair calendar especially on account of the ever bigger Asian and specifically Indian auto market.
